"Oh, I get so excited..." Ms. Kang (a pseudonym) held her face in her hands, gently wiped the corners of her eyes, and looked embarrassed. Her husband explained softly, "I've never experienced this kind of situation before, so I'm a little nervous."
We comforted her again, "Don't worry about the effect, just tell us your true feelings." Ms. Kang felt a little relieved, sat down, and looked at us softly.
It's clear that Ms. Kang prefers quiet, familiar people and environments. Even so, she still agreed to chat with us, even if it meant overcoming her nervousness and shyness.
Come to think of it, it was the courage and confidence given by the results of the most recent examination.

shock!
4 interventions, 4CM mass disappeared

Comparison of imaging data at initial admission and after four courses of treatment:
The original high metabolic mass on the right breast disappeared
On February 28, Ms. Kang came to our hospital's minimally invasive interventional department for the first time. On February 29, PET/CT showed a mass in the right lower outer quadrant of the breast (size 4.0*3.7*2.8cm) with increased metabolism, suggesting right breast cancer.
A PET-CT scan on June 28th showed the following: 1. Following comprehensive treatment for right breast cancer, the hypermetabolic mass in the right breast had disappeared, with no signs of tumor activity in the right breast. The right axillary lymph nodes had significantly shrunk, with decreased metabolism, suggesting improvement after treatment of the metastatic tumor. 2. The previous "small bilateral pneumothoraces (right hydropneumothorax)" had resolved.
Comparison of the two examinations showed that in just four months, the tumor disappeared, the metastasis improved, and the bone metastasis metabolism decreased.
When talking about the test results, Ms. Kang said with a smile, "That's great!" After a moment, she asked again, "In your opinion, is this a very good result?" Her gesture of trying to verify and confirm showed her joy.
This result far exceeded Ms. Kang's family's expectations. After all, before coming to Guangzhou Royal Li Cancer Hospital, Ms. Kang had almost given up treatment.

Disaster...
After diagnosis, I was unable to endure chemotherapy.
Last March, Ms. Kang accidentally discovered a nodule in her right breast. She visited a community hospital and then a top-tier, top-tier local hospital, and was ultimately diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, not specifically designated as invasive breast cancer.
The other hospital recommended neoadjuvant chemotherapy. When Ms. Kang talked about this experience, she squeezed out a few words in a gentle voice, "Life is worse than death." After one course of chemotherapy, Ms. Kang developed severe bone marrow suppression, and she was so nauseous and vomited that she couldn't eat. She eventually gave up chemotherapy and surgery.

Individual cases; please consult a doctor if in doubt
Six months after switching to acupuncture and moxibustion, the breast tumor gradually grew larger, forcing her to be hospitalized again at the beginning of this year. After three cycles of dual-targeted therapy, follow-up examinations revealed no sign of the tumor shrinking. After more than six months of treatment, Ms. Kang became increasingly emotionally unstable and nearly gave up.
In front of Ms. Kang, her husband remained calm and optimistic, but in reality, he was anxious about the treatment's effectiveness. While accompanying her, he continued to search for other treatment options and finally found Dr. Huang Deliang's team at Guangzhou Royal Cancer Hospital, who had numerous successful cases in breast cancer treatment.
Ms. Kang's lover said, "The information online is very complicated. I don't believe it all, but my intuition tells me that the case is true, so I still want to give it a try."
Seeing her usually gentle and communicative lover so determined and willing to never give up inspired Ms. Kang to agree to go south to Guangzhou, to the Royal Li Cancer Hospital, and step into Director Huang Deliang's clinic.

Eh?
It turns out that the treatment is not unbearable
Director Huang Deliang and his team comprehensively evaluated Ms. Kang's past diagnosis and treatment methods and physical condition, and performed "right subclavian artery angiography, right internal thoracic artery superselective angiography perfusion embolization, and right external thoracic artery superselective angiography perfusion" on March 2, April 1, April 30, and June 4, in conjunction with intravenous targeted therapy.
At the same time, Dr. Huang Deliang and the medical staff, aware of Ms. Kang's resistance to chemotherapy and concerned that her fears might affect her treatment and recovery, took extra care of her postoperative response. They hoped that the advantages of interventional surgery could alleviate the patient's concerns about treatment and restore her confidence in fighting cancer.

Seeing that Ms. Kang looked completely relaxed, we asked her how she felt after the interventional treatment.
"From the beginning, I thought, isn't interventional chemotherapy also chemotherapy? Could it..." Ms. Kang cut off the rest of the sentence, as if recalling her experience with chemotherapy last year. "But after the first intervention, I felt fine. The reaction was much less. Well, compared to last year's chemotherapy, it's nothing."
The professional treatment and care from the medical staff, the relatively tolerable postoperative reactions, and the attentive company of her lover have continuously alleviated Ms. Kang's worries and fears.
Now seeing the clear words "the lump has disappeared" and "no tumor activity" on the examination report, the treatment effect has exceeded expectations, allowing Ms. Kang to completely get out of the haze, and the glimmer of hope has become the dawn.
