Patient Rights and Obligations

● You have the right to receive the highest quality medical care.
1. Our medical staff will spare no effort to provide you with quality medical care designed to protect your health, cure your illness or alleviate your symptoms.
2. We will consider your condition carefully and thoughtfully before providing medical treatment and advice.
● You have the right to be treated with respect and dignity.
1. Staff at RoyalLee Cancer Center will treat you with courtesy and respect and maintain your personal dignity.
2. We will treat all patients equally regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, social status, physical or intellectual disability, and provide warm, courteous, timely and effective medical care.
3. RoyalLee Cancer Center will respect your personal dignity, including emotional, social, spiritual and cultural needs. The premise is that such needs will not cause distress or harm to others.
4. You and/or your family will be informed of the treatment and have the right to accept or refuse medical services provided by us to the extent permitted by law, and to bear all consequences thereof. In the event of an emergency, medical personnel will treat the patient in the best interest of the condition and will discuss further treatment with you and/or your family
5. You have the right to appoint a representative to be in charge of your treatment. We will respect your wishes to the extent that they are in accordance with the law and RoyalLee Cancer Center 's regulations.
● You have the right to receive treatment and care in a safe environment as needed.
1. To be free from any physical restraint, except as otherwise required for medical procedures where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
2. To have the access to appropriate protection, especially for frail, disabled individuals, the elderly, young and dependent children, comatose patients and victims of abuse.
3. To be free from any form of abuse and harassment.
● You have the right to know the identity and role of the members of the health care team.
1. You have the right to know the identity of the doctors, nurses, and other people involved in your medical treatment and care.
2. You have the right to know if they are residents, students or trainees.
● You have the right to maintain your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information.
1. You will have a reasonable right to privacy in the specific setting in which you will receive consultations, tests and treatment.
2. Only health care professionals involved in your care or those responsible for monitoring the quality of care and those authorized by law or by RoyalLee Cancer Center are authorized to read your treatment records. Any records of your care will be kept confidential.
3. Other personnel, may read your medical records only with your written consent or with the written consent of a legally authorized or designated representative.
4. Unless a clinical need or reasonable restriction exists, you or your legal representative may request, receive or deny access to any visitor, at your discretion.
● You have the right to be informed of and to participate in treatment decisions.
1. We will try to inform you of your medical condition, treatment plan and expected outcome in language you can understand.
2. We will explain in detail all treatments or procedures, including the risks and benefits. It will also include the potential consequences associated with treatment, recovery or no treatment.
3. You have the right to request a transfer to another hospital when your treatment status permits.
● You have the right to seek a second opinion for treatment.
1. A second opinion means seeking a review of the clinical diagnosis and treatment by a clinician other than the treating clinician at the request of you or your next of kin.
2. You and/or your next of kin have the right to seek a second opinion without fear of harm to their treatment within or outside of RoyalLee Cancer Center.
● You have the right to offer any praise or criticism.
1. Your feedback will help us improve our services and let us know if we are doing our job and what we need to improve. If you had a pleasant experience, we appreciate your compliments. At the same time, your feedback will inspire our medical team to improve and make RoyalLee Cancer Center the first choice for our patients.
2. You can give your feedback through our customer service staff, or Wechat applet. If you have any dissatisfaction and complaints, you can also send an e-mail to help@royallee.cn for feedback. Our staff will contact you and assist in resolving your concerns.
● You have the right to receive explanations, evangelism and counseling.
1. You have the right to challenge the accuracy of billing and physician fees. You have the right to request a summary of charges and receive an explanation of those charges.
2. You have the right to be informed about the dos and don’ts relating the care after discharge from the hospital.
3. RoyalLee Cancer Center will inform you or an appropriate family member of the rules, policies and practices related to your care, treatment and responsibilities.
4. RoyalLee Cancer Center will provide appropriate assistance, including interpreter services, to ensure that you and/or your family members better understand all procedures and contents of your treatment.
5. You have the right to know the damage caused to you by an adverse event.
● Your and your family's obligations
You and your family members are also important members of our health care team. This will play an important role in ensuring your treatment and mutual safety. It is the patient's responsibility to assist the health care provider to achieve the best possible outcome. To achieve this goal, we need your assistance.
● You must inform the health care provider of the following information about the visit.
1. Please provide complete and accurate information about your health status, including current and previous status, hospital records, medications, and other information that we need to know.
2. Please provide complete and correct personal information, including your name, address, contact number and date of birth.
3. It is your and your family's responsibility to inform us if you are aware of the expected outcome.
4. Please notify us of any changes in your condition or health status. You must follow the medical plan recommended by your doctor.
5. You must be actively involved in the treatment process, including making decisions about your treatment plan, taking medications, and participating in follow-up treatments.
6. If you have questions about the implementation of your pre-established treatment plan, please notify the facility. Any information you provide will be treated in strict confidentiality.
7. If you refuse medical treatment or do not follow the doctor's advice and leave, you will bear all the consequences.
● You must respect the privacy of others.
1. Follow the rules for patients and visitors to our hospital.
2. Treat our staff, other patients and visitors with respect and courtesy.
3. Be punctual for your appointment. If you are unable to make it, please tell us in advance.
