  • Began studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with his maternal grandfather, a renowned local physician in Hebei Province, at the age of 14, and started independent clinical practice at 15.
  • Graduated from the Department of TCM, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1983, holding a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Completed an advanced computer training program sponsored by the Ministry of Health from 1984 to 1986, majoring in undergraduate-level computer software design, and obtained a completion certificate upon finishing a three-month project design.
  • Obtained the qualification of "Senior Software Architect" through certification by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China in 2016.

  • In 1987, upon evaluation by the Expert Committee of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS), he was exceptionally promoted to Assistant Researcher and Attending Physician.
  • Promoted to Associate Researcher and Deputy Chief Physician in 1992, and to TCM Researcher in 2003.
  • Obtained the qualification of Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Hong Kong by passing the qualifying examination in 2007.
  • Elected Standing Director of the first session of the Constitution Professional Committee and Febrile Diseases Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) between 2012 and 2016.
  • Appointed Vice Chairman of the Oncology Professional Committee of the Hong Kong Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioners Association and Editorial Board Member of the journal Medicine & Philosophy in 2015.
  • Has served as an Adjunct Lecturer for the Advanced TCM Oncology Program at the School of Professional and Continuing Education, The University of Hong Kong (HKU SPACE) since 2017.

 

Professional Experience

  • 1983-1986: Successively served as an editor of Journal of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine; later engaged in TCM clinical practice and research on TCM expert systems under the mentorship of Academician Dong Jianhua of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a renowned TCM master.
  • 1987-1989: Served as Director of the TCM Philosophy Division, Institute of Basic Theory, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS), leading research on TCM methodology and development strategies while conducting clinical diagnosis and treatment concurrently.
  • 1989-1993: Founded a new technology research institute in Zhongguancun, Beijing, presiding over the R&D of TCM acupuncture teaching models and healthcare devices.
  • 1993-1999: Went to Russia to participate in a cooperation project with the International TCM College, being responsible for TCM teaching, clinical services, and institutional management.
  • 2000-2007: Established a GMP-compliant TCM pharmaceutical enterprise, serving as Chairman and Executive Director, and overseeing the entire process of the enterprise's construction and operation; concurrently held the position of President of a TCM hospital, in charge of diagnosis, treatment, and hospital management.
  • 2008: Migrated to Hong Kong through the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS), serving as Executive Director of Lvdao Traditional Chinese Medicine International Group. He leads the R&D, production, and sales of proprietary Chinese medicines, health products, and medical devices, and provides TCM clinical services.
  • 2011-Present: Presides over the Hong Kong Modern TCM Research and Development Center, focusing on the development strategies of TCM and modern medicine as well as TCM artificial intelligence research. He also manages 3 chain TCM clinics and continues to engage in clinical diagnosis and treatment.
