Bandung Kebonjati Hospital Visits Royal Lee to Build a New Bridge for Cross-Border Medical Cooperation

On June 12, an Indonesian medical delegation visited Guangzhou Royal Lee Cancer Hospital. The delegation included Melissa, Manager of Bandung Kebonjati Hospital (RS Kebon Jati), Ingrid as its representative, Chen Xiangdong (representative of the Chairman of Indonesia’s Paskal23 Group),  Marcella (Assistant to the Chairman), Lian Junwei (Advisor of the Indonesia-China Economic, Social and Cultural Cooperation Association),  Li Chao (special representative of Paskal23 Group), and Dr. Qi Qiugan. The two sides held in-depth discussions on international patient referral, introduction of advanced medical technologies, and specialized physician training. Vice President Ma Lanying and Assistant to the Hospital Director Tang Haibo received the delegation. This visit marks another important step for Royal Lee Hospital in deepening China-Indonesia medical cooperation and promoting the “going global” of high-quality Chinese medical resources.

As a core carrier of the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City International Medical and Wellness Base, Royal Lee Hospital has served patients from over 30 countries and regions worldwide, with Indonesian patients accounting for a significant proportion. The hospital has officially established the Indonesia-China Medical Service Center, providing Indonesian patients with a onestop closedloop service covering teleconsultation, visa assistance, airport pickup, multilingual accompaniment, postoperative rehabilitation, and crossborder followup — widely praised by Indonesian patients and their families.

The delegation toured the hospital’s International Medical Center, Precision Oncology Center, and advanced medical equipment. Vice President Ma Lanying introduced the hospital’s JCIaccredited multidisciplinary team (MDT) system, as well as cuttingedge technologies such as Y90 microsphere therapy, proton radiotherapy, nanoknife ablation, and gene therapy. She also shared the hospital’s fullchain international patient service model covering preadmission, inpatient, and postdischarge stages. “Indonesia is an important country along the Belt and Road, and there is vast space for China-Indonesia medical cooperation,” she said. “Royal Lee is willing to share its mature oncology technologies and hospital management experience with Bandung Chinese Hospital to jointly improve local cancer prevention and treatment in Indonesia.”

As a historically Chinese hospital in Bandung, Bandung Kebonjati Hospital has long served the local Chinese community but has relatively limited oncology capabilities. During this visit, the delegation was deeply impressed by Royal Lee Hospital’s leading strengths in precision oncology and international medical services. They expressed the hope that, leveraging Royal Lee’s technology and platform, more Indonesian patients could benefit from China’s highquality and accessible cancer diagnosis and treatment services. They also look forward to practical cooperation in physician training and teleconsultation.

During the visit, the two sides reached preliminary consensus on several cooperation directions, including establishing a green channel for crossborder referral, promoting technology transfer and physician training, and enabling routine remote MDT consultations. Further details will be refined to facilitate project implementation.

Looking ahead, Royal Lee Hospital will continue to deepen medical collaboration with countries along the Belt and Road, promoting Chinese technology, Chinese services, and Chinese standards to benefit more overseas patients, and contributing “Royal Lee’s strength” to building a global community of health for all.
