On August 25, the 16th Meeting of the Guangdong-Singapore Cooperation Council was held in Singapore. Mr. Meng Fanli, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Guangdong Province, and Co-Chair of the Council (Guangdong side), and Mr. Ong Ye Kung, Singapore's Minister for Social Policy Coordination and Minister for Health, and Co-Chair of the Council (Singapore side), attended and delivered speeches. Together they witnessed the collective launch of cooperation projects in emerging sectors including digital economy, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine, further deepening Guangdong-Singapore exchanges and cooperation.

As a key medical institution within the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City International Medical and Health Industrial Park, Guangzhou Royal Lee Cancer Hospital was invited to the conference. The Royal Lee delegation, comprising Chairman Li Min, CEO YEO KIM SECK, Vice President Ma Lanying, and Director of International Development and External Relations and Head of Branding Pan Qi, attended the conference and, under the joint witness of leaders from both sides, signed multiple major cooperation agreements — marking a decisive step forward in practical Guangdong-Singapore medical and health cooperation.

The Guangdong-Singapore Cooperation Council, as an important institutional platform for deepening bilateral cooperation, has been held for 16 consecutive sessions, continuously promoting cooperation in trade, investment, technology, education, healthcare, and other fields. A total of 22 cooperation projects were announced at this meeting, of which 11 key projects were launched by the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, making it one of the most active segments in Guangdong-Singapore cooperation. Royal Lee's concentrated signing of agreements is a significant practice within this wave of collaboration.

Talent Development and International Education | Jointly Building a Targeted Training Base for International Nursing Talent

Chairman Li Min of Royal Lee Group and Mr. Neo Yew Ming, President of SGMPA, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. The Singapore Medical Promotion Association (SGMPA) is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to medical education, professional training, and international medical cooperation, with a long history of conducting medical management training, clinical talent development, and international exchange programs. This collaboration will leverage Royal Lee Group's integrated medical education resources, designating Guangzhou Royal Lee Cancer Hospital as the project's exclusive core clinical teaching base, international nursing internship base, and talent export base, continuously supplying highquality professionals for international medical services.

Biomedicine and International Medical Care | Jointly Building the First China-Singapore Remote Oncology MDT Consultation Center 

Guangzhou Royal Lee Cancer Hospital has partnered with Tamarind Health Limited, a leading Asian oncology healthcare platform headquartered in Singapore. The two parties will jointly establish the first China-Singapore remote oncology MDT multidisciplinary consultation center, officially launching crossborder international medical cooperation and opening twoway patient referral channels between Singapore and ASEAN countries.

Vice President Ma Lanying and Mr. Ang Peng Tiam, Director of Tamarind Health, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. As a premier private oncology specialist medical group in Singapore, Tamarind Health has been deeply engaged in highend oncology diagnosis and treatment in Southeast Asia for many years. It possesses a mature oncology MDT multidisciplinary system, a cuttingedge biomedical R&D platform, a standardized overseas medical training system, and a broad crossborder patient base across Southeast Asia and ASEAN. Both sides will take this as an opportunity to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership, jointly creating a benchmark project for China-Singapore crossborder oncology cooperation, talent codevelopment, joint research, and industrial coconstruction.
