RoyalLee Attends Cooperation Luncheon with African Consuls General in Guangzhou

On September 29, the African Consuls General Medical Collaboration Luncheon, hosted by the Consulate General of Ghana in Guangzhou, was successfully held in Guangzhou. Consular officials from Ghana and 12 other African countries in Guangzhou gathered at the event to jointly explore new paths for deep China-Africa cross-border medical cooperation. YEO KIM SECK, CEO of Guangzhou RoyalLee Cancer Hospital, was invited to attend and deliver a sharing speech. Drawing on the hospital's international oncology specialty strengths, he outlined the layout and development vision for China-Africa medical collaboration, helping China-Africa health undertakings achieve mutually beneficial, symbiotic, and high-quality development.

This event was facilitated by the hospital's solid clinical reputation. Previously, Ghanaian cancer patients received individualized precision anti-tumor treatment at RoyalLee Hospital, achieving ideal results and a high-quality cross-border medical experience. With strong medical technology, standardized diagnosis and treatment services, and a good international reputation, the hospital has won high recognition from the Consulate General of Ghana in Guangzhou. The consulate took the lead in building a multinational exchange and matchmaking platform, laying a solid foundation for the hospital to carry out regular medical cooperation with African countries.

Under the strategic framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) "Health Partnership Action," RoyalLee actively fulfills the social responsibility of an international medical institution. As a JCI-accredited tertiary cancer hospital in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the hospital leverages its core strengths in precision oncology diagnosis and treatment and its mature cross-border service system, proactively aligns with Africa's medical and health needs, and is committed to building a standardized and regular China-Africa cross-border oncology medical collaboration platform to benefit the health of African people.

At the meeting, YEO KIM SECK identified four core cooperation directions for the hospital to comprehensively implement China-Africa joint medical development. First, relying on the International Oncology MDT Teleconsultation Center, provide authoritative second opinions for African medical institutions to help improve local precision oncology diagnosis and treatment. Second, establish a two-way academic exchange mechanism, receive African medical staff for training at the hospital, and send hospital experts to Africa for academic lectures and clinical guidance, helping build Africa's medical talent pipeline. Third, open up and share core technical experience in early cancer screening, precision treatment, and individualized rehabilitation, jointly build a China-Africa health information sharing platform, and promote mutual sharing and inclusive access to quality medical resources. Fourth, focus on the health needs of African expatriates in Guangdong, providing dedicated cancer screening, full-cycle health management, and multilingual customized diagnosis and treatment services.

For African patients seeking medical treatment in China, the hospital has built a one-stop, full-process cross-border service system, covering full-chain services such as visa invitation letter processing, airport cabin-to-hospital-door transfer, and direct billing with international commercial insurance. With cost-effective and efficient international services, it allows African patients to seek medical care with less worry and greater peace of mind, effectively reducing the cost and procedural barriers of cross-border diagnosis and treatment.

Located in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, RoyalLee Cancer Hospital has long been deeply engaged in the international oncology medical field. It has established cooperation with more than 40 insurance institutions worldwide, with services covering more than 40 countries and regions. The hospital is equipped with a multilingual international service team and has maturely carried out cutting-edge technologies such as Yttrium-90 therapy, NanoKnife ablation, proton radiotherapy, and gene therapy. Its strong specialty strength and standardized international service system have won broad recognition from patients at home and abroad.

The Consul General of the Republic of Ghana in Guangzhou, Sidney Ellis, once paid a special visit to RoyalLee to see Ghanaian cancer patients receiving treatment there.

This multinational consular exchange event is an important opportunity for matching China-Africa medical resources and a new starting point for practical cooperation between the two sides. In the future, RoyalLee Hospital will rely on the location and industrial advantages of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, continue to connect with African consulates and medical institutions, and steadily advance the implementation of cooperation projects such as teleconsultation, talent training, technology sharing, and health protection for expatriates. With a professional, open, and pragmatic posture, the hospital will deeply integrate into the building of a China-Africa community of health for all, build a bridge of cross-border health friendship, and continue to empower the improvement of the health and well-being of the Chinese and African people.
