DSBP Delegation Visits Guangzhou Royal Lee Cancer Hospital for Inspection & Exchange

On June 4, Su Nan, Partner and General Manager for the Middle East of DSBP, and Zhou Ying, China Director of DSBP and Representative of Ras Al Khaimah Emirate in Guangzhou, led a delegation to visit and inspect Guangzhou Royal Lee Cancer Hospital, holding field visits and business talks focusing on cross-border oncology cooperation with the Middle East. Serving as a key foreign exchange event for the hospital to advance global medical collaboration, this visit lays a solid foundation for the hospital to connect with official partners in the UAE, build medical exchange links between China and the Gulf region, and advance the delivery of cross-border medical cooperation initiatives.

During the site tour, Vice President Ma Lanying accompanied the delegation to inspect the International Medical Center, advanced medical equipment and supporting facilities, and gave a comprehensive introduction to the hospital’s development achievements.

Guangzhou Royal Lee Cancer Hospital has delivered medical services to patients from over 30 countries. Vice President Ma elaborated on the hospital’s JCI international accreditation, cutting-edge specialties including MDT multidisciplinary oncology treatment, precision minimally invasive therapy and gene therapy. She also illustrated the hospital’s full-chain one-stop international medical service covering remote pre-consultation, visa assistance, in-hospital treatment, post-operative rehabilitation and cross-border follow-up.

To accommodate the religious beliefs and daily living needs of Middle Eastern patients, the hospital has built dedicated Muslim wards and halal canteens. By optimizing catering, accommodation and culture-oriented supporting services, the hospital removes cultural obstacles and concerns for overseas patients seeking treatment in China. Such refined, localized international services won high recognition from the visiting delegation.

Following the on-site inspection, Ms. Su Nan spoke highly of the hospital’s robust oncology capabilities, comprehensive international supporting facilities and mature cross-border medical operation system. Building on the fruitful exchange, both sides agreed to maintain regular communication and continuously advance negotiations, refining specific implementation plans covering cross-border patient referral, designated medical service for Middle Eastern patients, official medical cooperation and joint academic exchanges.

Moving forward, leveraging DSBP’s extensive official cooperative networks and local resources across the UAE and the Middle East, together with Royal Lee’s sophisticated oncology expertise and mature international service system, both parties will polish cooperation details and explore feasible pathways for premium Chinese oncology services to enter the Middle East market. The cooperation will enable patients in the Gulf region to access high-standard Chinese medical care and fuel the high-quality opening-up of cross-border medical industry in the Greater Bay Area.
