Treating Giant Liver Cancer Rupture with Multiple Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) Procedures

A 75-year-old patient with liver cancer was admitted to the emergency department due to severe abdominal pain. It was only then that the presence of a giant liver cancer rupture was discovered, which had reached a life-threatening stage. Following emergency interventional treatment by Professor Wang Fangjun's team and multiple TACE procedures, the lesion significantly reduced in size, becoming amenable to complete resection. The cancer lesion was successfully removed through surgery. During the recent follow-up, the patient's overall condition was good, with no signs of recurrence.
